Bye Bye Bye Television
Oh T.V how I used to watch you allay and all night. The memories that you gave me and the daily routine that I set up with you. On the weekdays after school how I watch Spongebob Squarepants then Fairly Odd Parents and right after some sitcoms like ICarly and Victorious. After that I would switch at around 10 pm to the family channel to watch Ned's Declassified School Survivor Guide right after that was The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. There were also those special days on the weekends where they would air some anime like Pokémon, Naruto, Bleach, Zatch Bell, InuYasha and Blue Dragon. For me the television gave me a bunch of fond memories and gave my family and I some time together in the living room together. But all of that started to go downhill. The reason why that it went downhill is because the cable company started to cut some channels off like first it was Teletoon and then Family Channel and all the other ones like Spike, Mtv, Discovery Channel, etc. The only channel I had was Ytv but the shows nowadays are just... really bad like the comedy is too boring, cliché and tries way too hard. With the limited amount of channels available for basic cable users they would only have a choice of about around 20 or less channels, or how it feels like it. For people that still seek entertainment like T.V they have resorted to using the internet to stream their favourite T.V shows. The main programs that people use are Netflix, YouTube, Putlocker (if it ever loads and looks good) or any other website that streams anything. I can see the reason why people would chose using Netflix and other streaming sites over T.V because for one reason it's more cheaper depending on your internet plan and the second reason is because, for my personal reason too, is because i feel like I'm in more control of what I want to watch and when I want to watch it too. Back when i was watching T.V with cable I would be impatient for waiting to watch my show it's either i end up not liking the episode, it's a re run, or I just miss it and i have no way of replaying the episode unless i had it recorded. So in my opinion T.V is dying but basically its being reborn through the internet.
